Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Jerome, Idaho, seeks a Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance activities for plant facilities, utilities and equipment, including automation. You will lead a skilled workforce, collaborate with engineering on major projects, and mentor technicians while aligning maintenance with company safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Ten years of facility/maintenance experience in a food production environment is required.
• Five years of managerial experience is required.
• Five years of food processing experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the dairy plant maintenance is preferred.
• Strong experience with plant automation is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance functions within the manufacturing environment including process and automation improvements.
• Initiate, implement and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Analyze processes and systems, recommend improvements, and implement changes to improve efficiency and performance.
• Troubleshoot problem areas, recommend solution options, and implement changes to improve performance.
• Manage, support, and mentor teams to drive and document change.
• Provide technical guidance to plant-based automation personnel and support building/facilities/utilities mechanics.
• Oversee Process Safety Management and maintain manuals and training materials.
• Prepare technical specifications, project work descriptions, bid documents and reports.
