Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join the Project Controls Team at a St. Charles, LA area jobsite. The role requires planning for maintenance, turnarounds, and small capital projects, with experience in piping/structural work and craft labor estimation.

The candidate will develop work plans, create job plan packages, and mentor junior teammates, coordinating with field supervision and project controls. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects and/or outages and turnarounds.
• Four (4) years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum
• NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction, maintenance or turnarounds is an additional benefit
• Must have a strong background in piping and/or structural work scope planning
• Ability to estimate material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings for multiple craft disciplines
• Must be proficient in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Preferred experience in planning software applications. (Turner Applications WinTake®, QuickPlan® and Win PCS® is an additional benefit)
• Ability to climb and build planning packages from elevated structures
• Ability to lead Interactive Planning Sessions thus bridging Field Supervision andProject Controls buy in to the Pre Execution development of Schedule and Costdeliverables
• This is a senior level position with an expectation to mentor / coach juniorteammates as needed. Your mentorship is to be open to teammates at all levelsof the organization as needed

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance, turnarounds, small capital projects, or a combination of the three.
• Estimate labor hours for multiple disciplines and develop work plans.
• Create job plan packages and prepare estimates from drawings.
• Mentor junior team members and lead planning sessions bridging field supervision and project controls.
• Utilize ERP systems to identify upcoming installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Lead planning activities and document resource needs and timelines.
