Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in California seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to keep plant equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently. The role covers preventative maintenance, repairs, and construction of mechanical systems supporting aerospace production.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification eligibility, and the ability to read English manufacturing docs. This on-site role involves lifting, tool handling and collaboration with teams to ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship or tech cert preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Proven safety compliance and ability to work in non-temperature controlled environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents in English.
• Experience with standard measuring devices and basic electrical/mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PCC Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of mechanical systems.
• Maintain accurate daily work logs and equipment records.
• Inspect equipment and determine best repair approach to minimize production interruption.
• Communicate with internal customers and supervisors as required.
• Assist in keeping work areas clean, organized and safe.
