Job summary

Marquette University is seeking a Senior Mechanic in Facilities Planning & Management to lead the maintenance team responsible for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems across campus. The role involves diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and coordination with project managers.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of building equipment maintenance experience, strong knowledge of building automation and safety procedures, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend/holiday rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in building equipment maintenance.
• High school diploma is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostics, maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and input data into the TMA system.
• Guide a team of Maintenance Mechanics and coordinate with managers.
• Assist with parts procurement and equipment start-up and testing.
• Work weekends/holidays on a rotating schedule.
