Job summary

Marquette University is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Facilities Planning & Management team. You will maintain and repair campus building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and participate in a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Three years of experience in building equipment maintenance or closely related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain mechanical systems, equipment and controls to assure optimum efficiency and performance.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various systems, components and equipment.
• Provide startup, shutdown and operational service, calibration, and logs for HVAC equipment and components.
• Inspect, test and record results of emergency generators, life/safety systems and lighting.
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs when directed.
• Maintain detailed records on paper and in maintenance software.
• Work a scheduled rotation to cover weekends/holidays.
• Respond to emergency requests regarding HVAC and life/safety systems.
