Job summary

The Nestlé Health Science facility in Illinois is seeking a Mechanic B to maintain production and facility equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime. This experienced role requires independent judgment and will train junior technicians.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and adherence to cGMPs while supporting safety standards. The position offers a 1st shift schedule (5:00 AM–5:30 PM) with a rotating 4-on/3-off pattern.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in installation, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and influence associates to identify and resolve safety issues following lock-out/tag-out, fall protection, PPE and SOPs.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across teams to solve problems.
• Adhere to SOPs and cGMPs to ensure product quality and quantity.
• Provide training to lower-level associates on maintenance tasks and equipment operation.
• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain and organize work area, shop, and parts inventory.
