Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking an experienced Mechanic B to maintain production and facility equipment, enhancing efficiency and reducing downtime. You will perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment per safety and maintenance protocols.

This experienced-level role requires independent judgment and may include training of junior staff on mechanical, electrical, and related disciplines, with a 3rd shift from 5:00pm to 5:30am in Franklin Park, IL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance professional experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
• 5+ years in manufacturing experience
• Mechanical/electrical trade background, Journeyman or equivalent technical school background desired
• Working knowledge of CMMS strongly recommended
• Technical degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Coach and influence associates to identify and resolve safety issues, including LOTO, fall protection, PPE, and other mandatory procedures.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on problem solving projects.
• Adhere to SOPs and cGMPs to ensure quality and quantity of product.
• Coach others and apply theory of operation of machinery and equipment.
• Clean and lubricate machinery, perform basic diagnostic tests, and assess major repairs.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
