Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our Springfield, IL operation. You will maintain production equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and perform repairs on die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, and conveyors.

You will also train others in new processes and lean methodologies, interpret complex drawings and wiring diagrams to isolate malfunctions, and support ongoing equipment reliability on first shift.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications to isolate malfunctions.
• Knowledge of geometry, shop math and measurement techniques for machine tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization's production equipment and troubleshoot electrical and/or mechanical issues.
• Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools (lathe, milling, drill press, surface grinder).
• Train others in new processes and lean methodologies as assigned.
• Assist with training and sharing expertise with team members.
