Job summary

Itron, Inc. seeks a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead a 40–45 person maintenance team at the West Union manufacturing facility. You will drive safe, reliable operations and continuous improvement to support safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

The role emphasizes customer‑centricity and a safety‑first mindset, with Lean, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives, data‑driven decisions, and strong development of future talent through coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with equipment reliability programs, energy optimization initiatives, and spare parts standardization.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to engage teams, drive accountability, and deliver results through others.
• Strong strategic thinking skills, analytical capability, and a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Proven success developing employees through coaching, mentoring, and structured development planning.
• Experience executing maintenance strategies and performance management using maintenance management systems.
• Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining a customer‑centric and safety‑focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 40–45 maintenance professionals in a manufacturing environment.
• Champion a customer‑centric, safety‑first mindset and ensure safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
• Align maintenance strategies with equipment criticality, operational risk, and business priorities.
• Plan, execute, and improve preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and problem‑solving initiatives to reduce losses and improve safety and productivity.
• Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs to enable data‑driven decisions.
• Oversee maintenance management systems and data accuracy.
