• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, conveyors, RFID systems, and automated sortation.

Job Title: Senior Maintenance Manager

Pay rate; $40/hr on W2

Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the reliability, availability, and performance of automated material-handling equipment and facility systems at the McDonough Distribution Center. This role leads maintenance supervisors and technicians, manages preventive and condition-based maintenance programs, and ensures optimal equipment uptime and operational efficiency. The position focuses on improving reliability KPIs, managing maintenance budgets and projects, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across automation and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors and technicians across a Monday-Friday split-shift operation.
• Oversee PLC-controlled systems, conveyors, shipping sorters, robotics, RFID systems, and automated sortation equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and minimize downtime to maintain distribution and order-fulfillment operations.
• Manage facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, roofing, dock equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, LOTO, building codes, and fire/life-safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS platforms.
• Implement condition-based maintenance techniques, including vibration, thermal, electrical, and oil analysis.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, including MTTR, MTBF, OEE, and breakdown frequency.
• Manage maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, overhauls, budgets, spare-parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure quality, cost control, and timely project completion.
• Partner with Operations, HR, EHS, and Logistics to align maintenance activities with operational requirements.
• Apply zero-based budgeting and spare-parts optimization strategies to improve cost efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and hands‑on experience.
• 7+ years of progressive maintenance or reliability experience in distribution, warehouse automation, or manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance supervisors or technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, including Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens, robotics, conveyors, shipping sorters, RFID readers, and automated sortation systems.
• Experience managing facility systems, including HVAC, fire sprinklers, plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, and commercial refrigeration.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive maintenance, condition-based maintenance, and CMMS platforms.
• Proven ability to improve MTTR, MTBF, OEE, and equipment uptime.
• Strong project management, budgeting, troubleshooting, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability to work a Monday‑Friday split shift and respond to critical equipment issues as needed.
