Job summary

Sherman Associates is seeking an experienced maintenance professional in Minneapolis to support our residential and commercial properties. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and grounds tasks while ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents and tenants.

The role emphasizes timely response to work orders, coordination with management, and occasional on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of maintenance or related carpentry/construction experience, ideally in residential/commercial real estate.
• Special boiler license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
• Responds to work orders and resolves resident/tenant requests within 24 hours.
• Performs preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Maintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in quality condition.
• Coordinates unit turnovers and communicates with management.
