Job summary

Northland in Ocala, FL is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise a maintenance team and manage work orders across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping. You will schedule projects, ensure timely completion, and uphold safety and quality while monitoring budget.

You will handle after-hours emergencies, coordinate with residents and vendors, and ensure smooth turnover of vacant apartments for move-in.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, residents, and vendors.
• Own hand tools required; power tools provided.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as on-call.
• Prior team management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team and oversee work orders and repairs.
• Prioritize and schedule projects for timely completion.
• Complete service requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Turn vacant apartments for move-in efficiently while controlling costs.
• Provide professional service to residents, vendors, and guests.
