Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a supervisor for the maintenance team responsible for corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, controls, and scanners. You will manage technicians, ensure safety, and drive improvements.

The role requires leadership of a maintenance group, budgeting awareness, and expertise in mechanical/electrical systems, PM programs, and CMMS usage. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in light industrial fields preferred.
• Two (2) years leading project teams or supervising staff.
• Experience with mechanical power transmission and/or electrical power or machine controls.
• Experience developing and implementing Quality (QDM) driven equipment or process improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop staff; manage performance and productivity.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance and address budget variances.
• Communicate quality and safety expectations per FedEx standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and CMMS work orders.
• Provide technical expertise in sortation electrical and mechanical systems.
• Conduct quality audits of technician work and communicate results.
• Identify improvements to the material handling system.
• Acquire bids from and manage vendors and maintenance contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
