Weiss-Aug in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Mechanic to support manufacturing operations. You will repair and maintain machinery and equipment, diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure safety processes are followed.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a 2-year technical/trade program, and at least 10 years of facility and equipment maintenance experience with ERP systems knowledge. The role offers full-time employment at our Elk Grove Village facility.

Qualifications

• H.S. graduate or equivalent.
• 2-year technical school or trade school.
• Hands on maintenance of high precision manufacturing equipment and facility equipment.
• Minimum 10 years facility and equipment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems.

Responsabilités

• Maintains facilities to allow the best possible conditions for safe and efficient operations of all departments.
• Responsible for repair and maintenance of the building structures and grounds.
• Repairs all malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Handles installation of new machinery and project planning.
• Develops preventive maintenance procedures for all primary, and auxiliary equipment used in all manufacturing, and all equipment related to the physical plant.
• Assists in coordinating and scheduling outside machine repairs with suppliers to ensure the minimum impact to manufacturing activities.
• Assists in maintaining equipment preventive and safety records in regard to all state and federal regulations and to all ISO and QS procedures.
• Evaluates & diagnoses machine problems and develops corrective action procedures to eliminate reoccurrence.
• Provides guidance to all other department personnel.
• Assists in training of new hires and department transfers.
• Assists in developing the corrective means and methods for continuous improvement.
• Will need to keep accurate records on our in-house maintenance system “PLEX”.
