Arvato is seeking a hands-on and self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead proactive and preventative facility maintenance at our Shepherdsville, Kentucky location. This role involves leveraging your facilities management expertise to optimize equipment and resources while ensuring safety and budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign projects to staff related to machinery and equipment maintenance and development.
- Oversee vendors, negotiate costs, and manage repairs and upkeep.
- Delegate efficiency and reliability improvement projects for equipment.
- Maintain equipment PM records and lead downtime reduction initiatives.
- Assist in R&D for new products, processes, or CAPEX projects.
- Develop and modify equipment to meet production and quality needs.
- Manage vendors for housekeeping, recycling, and daily requirements.
- Assist with new building selection and fit-out per specifications.
- Ensure conveyor system safety, efficiency, and operation 24/7.
- Understand mechanical and electrical systems and components.
- Perform preventative maintenance proactively.
- Maintain cleanliness of conveyor parts and areas.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and ensure minimal operational downtime.
- Keep tool and spare parts inventory at 100%.
- Adjust start/end times as needed for maintenance.
- Be on-call for emergencies.
- Plan installations and refurbishments.
- Manage equipment and supplies to meet production and safety standards.
- Inspect buildings for repairs or renovations.
- Monitor utilities and minimize costs.
- Review contracts and service agreements.
- Supervise facilities staff and external contractors.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience supervising teams.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Willingness to work long hours and overtime if needed.
- Willing to travel up to 10%.
