Location: This position is a work-from-home role; candidates must be based in the Raleigh/Durham area.

The Senior Facility Manager/Field Consultant oversees all aspects of facility management for client locations. Responsibilities include conducting annual on-site assessments, managing contractors and vendors, responding to support requests, and maintaining client relationships. Emphasis is on organizational skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct annual site surveys and develop repair and maintenance scopes of work.
  2. Develop and execute a 3-year strategic plan.
  3. Build relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
  4. Manage repair, maintenance, and equipment projects within scope and budget.
  5. Communicate work plans effectively with stakeholders.
  6. Manage building components, MEP systems, and site elements.
  7. Develop scheduled maintenance plans and regional contractor networks.
  8. Identify and resolve building and system issues.
  9. Train staff and contractors on facilities management processes.
  10. Assist in budget development and provide feedback to cross-functional teams.
  11. Support new store openings and restaurant transitions.
  12. Manage closures and provide after-hours support.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in facilities, construction, or design for restaurants, retail, or commercial buildings.
  • Engineering, Architectural, Building Science, or Business degree required.
  • Knowledge of building components, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with restaurant equipment or foodservice preferred.
  • Familiarity with codes and ADA requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and build professional relationships.
  • Solution-oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in computer and technology use.
  • Willing to travel 50-100 nights per year.
