Qualifications

• 3+ years experience managing and directing a team of technicians in preventative maintenance, repair, operations, and safety.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance in manufacturing, food processing or seafood processing.
• Understanding and ability to troubleshoot basic electrical systems.
• Ability to manage and execute minor engineering projects and installations such as refrigeration systems, pumps, conveyor systems, boilers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within time constraints.
• Proficiency in basic math and ability to read and write clear correspondence.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and direct maintenance team.
• Execute strategically to maintain cohesive, proactive maintenance departments across facilities.
• Participate in divisional collaboration initiatives and improve maintenance processes.
• Foster open communication with operators, supervisors, and managers; manage CMMS and work orders.
• Maintain safety policies and administer PSM and RMP principles.
• Interact with regulatory agencies as necessary.
• Formulate and implement preventative maintenance schedules; oversee on-site maintenance including refrigeration, electrical, hydraulics, welding, and processing equipment.
• Coordinate and inspect work by third-party refrigeration contractors.
• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget; track expenses and drive cost reductions.
• Manage alternating schedules for weekend or after-hours emergency response.
• Oversee new installation projects and strategic initiatives; travel to other plants as needed.
