Job summary

Delano Miami Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer III to join the reopening team. You will maintain and repair building equipment, systems, and hotel pools, ensuring safe operation and guest comfort.

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration kitchen equipment, and support continuous hotel operations. 2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar setting is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in building maintenance/engineering in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, including repairs and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment; diagnose issues to prevent breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document activities in logs.
• Repair and replace defective machinery parts to restore full functionality promptly.
• Maintain the physical structure; ensure safety and quality.
