Job summary

Cummins Inc. seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer for its Fletcher, NC, manufacturing facility. You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance, drive reliability, and coach maintenance teams. You will coordinate with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

You will also manage spare parts, maintain CMMS records, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maximize asset performance and uptime.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.
Experience with Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT initiatives.
Knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and TPM programs.
Ability to read/modify mechanical drawings with AutoCAD/Inventor.
Experience with project management and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

Drive equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
Lead maintenance teams to achieve safe, efficient operation.
Develop team capability through hands-on coaching and training.
Resolve complex equipment issues with cross-functional partners.
Improve production performance by ensuring asset availability.
Manage spare parts and CMMS records for readiness.
Contribute to equipment design improvements and standardized processes.
Strengthen preventive maintenance programs to extend asset life.
