Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance for Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing equipment, including inert and energetics processes. The role blends hands-on maintenance with planning, scheduling, vendor coordination, and asset management to maximize uptime and safe operations.

You will collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to align maintenance with build schedules and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or reliability engineering preferred.
• Experience with Solid Rocket Motor, energetics, or hazardous materials environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and detailed records for audits.
• Coordinate PM activities with OEMs and third‑party service providers.
• Maintain asset registers and support equipment commissioning.
• Support real-time monitoring and data analytics integration.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory inspections.
