Job summary

Ursa Major, a leader in propulsion systems for national security, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance for Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing.

You will partner with Production, Planning, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to maximize uptime, ensure safe operations, and drive continuous improvement in an aerospace production environment. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or reliability engineering preferred; aerospace or defense manufacturing experience a plus.
• Experience with Solid Rocket Motor, energetics, or other hazardous materials environments highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for critical manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain an asset register and support equipment commissioning and integration.
• Support real-time monitoring and predictive analytics to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Controls/Automation, and Digital Operations to integrate sensors and data reporting tools.
• Analyze equipment performance to drive continuous improvement and optimize maintenance intervals.
