Responsibilities include installing and repairing carpentry components, following safety procedures, and collaborating with the maintenance team to keep spaces functional and compliant with district standards.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Carpentry program or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in finish and rough carpentry in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Experience in painting, plastering, tile, flooring, insulation, and related carpentry tasks as described.
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Receive daily assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor – Carpentry/Painting/Locks.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks to established standards and procedures.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, trim, and hardware using power and hand tools.
  • Remodel offices and workspaces to ensure safe, efficient use of space.
  • Build and repair walls, cabinets, shelving, doors, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and safety protocols; maintain records as required.
