Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Hardware for remote work in the United States. You will maintain mainframe hardware, perform trouble shooting, and support client migrations.

The role requires deep knowledge of mainframe hardware, IOCP/IOCDS/IODF, IBM Copy Services, VTAM/TCP/IP, and proactive incident management. You will also help with DR activities, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Hardware Management Consoles for Mainframe hardware.
• Knowledge of Disk and Tape architecture.
• Extensive knowledge in IOCP/IOCDS/IODF.
• Experience with IBM Copy Services Manager.
• Knowledge of VTAM/TCP/IP concepts.
• Ability to diagnose hardware issues and resolve promptly.
• Ability to analyze performance on DASD and Tape subsystems.

Responsabilités

• Proactively maintain hardware on current microcode levels.
• Support client transitions and migrations.
• Perform DASD/TAPE replication using various technologies.
• Configure Storage and Processor as needed (DASD model changes, MSUs).
• Participate in Sev1/Sev2 incident problem resolution.
• Assist with DR activities.
• Troubleshoot major system issues and coordinate with vendors.
• Create new tools and processes to improve productivity.
• Document standard procedures and automate workloads.
• Collaborate with accounts for technical consulting.
• Perform ITIL tasks including change management.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support and root-cause analysis.
• Support multiple customers from a single team and mentor teammates.
