Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer / SMP/E to join our infrastructure team. The role centers on SMP/E operations, mainframe software installation, and z/OS system administration to ensure reliable services.

You will lead projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement upgrades while maintaining security and performance. Strong knowledge of JCL/ISPF/TSO, VTAM/TCP/IP, IBM Connect, CA and AMI tools is required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must demonstrate expertise in SMP/E installation, maintenance, upgrades and support.
• Proficient in mainframe software installation and administration.
• Strong knowledge of JCL and ISPF/TSO interfaces.
• Experience with VTAM and TCP/IP networking on z/OS.
• Familiarity with IBM Connect for messaging and coordination.
• Experience with CA Session Manager and CA Spool for job scheduling.
• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture and design.
• Experience with BMC AMI tools: AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors and AMI Output Management.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, project/program management and stakeholder communication.
