Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise storage across IBM Z and distributed environments.

The role requires deep expertise in DS8000, z/OS storage, DR testing, and data protection, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence storage modernization while ensuring regulatory and security standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of enterprise storage engineering experience.
• Three years supporting IBM Z and z/OS storage environments.
• Strong experience with SAN infrastructure, disaster recovery, data protection, and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise storage solutions across IBM DS8000, FlashSystem, and related platforms.
• Provide leadership for SAN infrastructures (FICON/FC), zoning, and performance tuning.
• Lead disaster recovery validation, testing, and alignment with business continuity requirements.
• Contribute to cyber resiliency and data protection programs and maintain runbooks and documentation.
