Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD) seeks a talented Software Engineer to build, test, and support mainframe database solutions in an Agile environment. You will join a collaborative team delivering high-quality software used by major enterprises.

Location is Plano, TX. Candidates should have extensive mainframe experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning new technologies. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and customer focus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mainframe software development experience.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Experience with Endevor and Github.
• Knowledge of z/OS and related tools.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within an Agile Team to analyze and translate business requirements and write high quality, testable code that meets the Agile Definition of Done.
• Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers.
• Actively participate and contribute in all Agile activities: Iteration planning, refinement, and sprint reviews. Volunteer for and commit to delivering stories and tasks within the sprint.
• Actively communicate and collaborate within the team and across functional boundaries.
• Drive opportunities to increase efficiency, security, and product quality through best practices.
• Interact with customers for support issues, demonstrations, and feedback sessions.
