Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior RACF Engineer to design and maintain RACF profiles, groups, and resource classes for secure, compliant operations. You will lead RACF administration activities, including user provisioning, access reviews, and cleanup of obsolete IDs and datasets, while implementing advanced RACF features to strengthen security on IBM z/OS.

In this role you will monitor RACF with SMF, IRRDBU00, and zSecure tools, develop automation scripts in REXX/CLIST/JCL, and collaborate with IAM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Deep specialized knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Deep knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead RACF administration activities, including user provisioning and access reviews.
• Implement and manage advanced RACF features to enhance security.
• Monitor RACF activity using SMF records, IRRDBU00, and zSecure tools.
• Develop automation scripts for RACF provisioning/reporting using REXX, CLIST, JCL.
• Collaborate with IAM, risk, and audit teams to enforce least-privilege access.
• Mentor junior security engineers and serve as a technical SME.
