Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to plan, install, test, administer, and maintain VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP and related mainframe software. You will diagnose problems, support client mainframe networks, and participate in client discussions as needed.

You will adhere to ITIL, Change and Problem Management, communicate with vendors and clients, and maintain high availability and performance of mainframe environments. Remote work options are available where appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years’ mainframe networking experience preferred.
Ability to prioritize and balance tasks with teams and clients.
Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.

Responsibilities

Configure interfaces to subsystems and provide product support.
Plan, install, configure, test, administer, maintain, and update mainframe network software.
Diagnose, resolve, and document network-related problems.
Adhere to ITIL, Change and Problem Management processes.
Communicate with software suppliers, peers, clients and leadership.
Maintain system availability and performance per service agreements.
Monitor and report on system performance and reliability.
Seek cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
