Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to plan, install, test, administer and maintain VTAM, TCPIP, FTP/SFTP and related mainframe networks in a largely remote U.S. setting.

You will diagnose problems, document resolutions, and participate in client discussions as needed. The role requires 5+ years of mainframe networking experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and proven ability to manage network programming projects while adhering to ITIL and Change/Problem Management

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ mainframe networking experience is preferred with overall mainframe systems experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to prioritize and balance tasks, issues and concerns with self, team and clients.
• Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, test, administer, maintain and update mainframe network software and related interfaces.
• Diagnose, resolve and document mainframe network problems.
• Ensure ITIL, Change and Problem Management processes are followed.
• Communicate effectively with software suppliers, peers, clients and leadership.
• Maintain system availability and performance per service agreements.
• Monitor and report on system performance and efficiency.
