Job summary

Ensono seeks a Mainframe Systems Programmer – Network to support VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, and related mainframe software across United States client environments. The role emphasizes problem solving, change management, and collaboration with clients and internal teams.

You will plan, implement, and maintain network subsystems, monitor performance, and drive automation efforts to improve efficiency and reliability. Remote work options are available with a strong focus on service delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ mainframe networking experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Ability to prioritize and balance tasks, issues and concerns with self, team and clients.
• Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for IT mainframe Network systems programming and general product support including configuring interfaces to other subsystems.
• Plans, coordinates, installs, configures, tests, administers, maintains, updates, implements, tracks changes and/or provides corrective maintenance to mainframe Network-related software.
• Diagnoses, resolves, and documents mainframe Network-related problems.
• Adheres to ITIL, Change and Problem Management process.
• Effectively communicates with software suppliers, peers, clients and Leadership.
• Maintains current software and products by ensuring system availability and performance in accordance with service agreements.
• Monitors and reports on system/product performance, reliability and consistency.
