Medical Mutual in Brooklyn, OH, seeks a Software Developer IV to lead the design, development, maintenance, and modernization of critical enterprise mainframe applications. You will guide COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM, ensuring secure, compliant systems.

Lead teams, design complex solutions, and mentor staff while delivering robust production support and strategic modernization initiatives. This role blends hands-on coding with leadership in a dynamic, on-site and hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 6 years information systems experience
• Minimum 4 years analysis and design experience
• Proficiency with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, maintenance and modernization of mainframe applications.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee complex development efforts.
• Develop and execute test plans ensuring security standards and government regulations are met.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and verify requirements.
• Collaborate with database and security staff on data standards and security.
• Coach and mentor team members to advance staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
