Job summary

Capgemini seeks an experienced Mainframe Developer to lead design, development, support, and enhancement of tax and regulatory reporting applications on IBM Mainframe platforms. You will collaborate with tax, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, provide technical leadership, and mentor teams for stable, high-performing solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years of IBM Mainframe development experience.
Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS expertise.
Experience with Zeke, File Manager, Abend-Aid, SPUFI, SORT, ICETOOL.
Knowledge of SFTP processes, report generation, batch processing, and job scheduling.
Strong SQL, debugging, performance tuning, and Azure DevOps/source control experience.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

Lead development, maintenance, and support of tax reporting applications.
Collaborate with business, tax, and compliance teams to define requirements and solutions.
Design, review, test, and deploy mainframe-based reporting solutions.
Ensure application performance, stability, and regulatory compliance.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Mentor developers and support project planning and estimation.
