Job summary

Covetus is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Developer to design, develop, and maintain COBOL-based applications in a IBM z/OS environment. You will work with DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and MQ to support online and batch processing and ensure high performance and reliability.

The role requires strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in the Financial Services sector being a plus. Hybrid work options may apply in some cases.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Mainframe application development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL LE, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and Online/Batch programming.
• Experience developing and supporting applications using MQ with CICS/COBOL and Batch/COBOL.
• Strong background in IBM MQ and IBM WBE.
• Strong experience with DB2 development, SQL programming, and database performance tuning.
