Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced Mainframe Developer with 10+ years in COBOL, IMS/DB, IMS/DC, and CICS. You will develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications in a banking environment.

The role requires hands-on IBM z/OS expertise, JCL scripting, batch processing, data set management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-site five days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mainframe development experience.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM z/OS.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with IMS/DB.
• Experience with IMS/DC concepts and transaction processing.
• Strong knowledge of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
• Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Understanding of mainframe data set management and security.
• Must be available to work onsite five days a week in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Work with IMS database technologies, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
• Develop and support CICS-based transaction processing applications.
• Write, execute, and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Work in IBM z/OS environments and troubleshoot application issues.
• Support mainframe data set management and basic system administration activities.
• Ensure application reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and production support teams.
• Follow established mainframe development standards and operational procedures.
