Job summary

Kyndryl in Boise, Idaho is seeking a DB2 DBA on z/OS to manage and administer the backbone of our database infrastructure, shaping system definitions and ensuring long-term reliability.

You will tune performance, implement security, plan capacity, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable solutions. On-call rotation and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Strong knowledge of SQL, DDL, and DB2 utilities is required along with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• DB2 DBA on the z/OS platform with V12/V13 experience.
• Strong SQL, DDL, and DB2 utilities knowledge.
• Experience following Change, Incident, Problem, Availability, SL, and Capacity processes.
• DB2 backup/recovery knowledge with review of logical design.
• Translate logical to physical design for DB changes.
• Design and implement application database changes.
• Willingness to provide 24x7 on-call production support.
• English: Fluent

Responsibilities

• Incident and problem resolution aligned to SL requirements.
• Execute DB2 utilities (Reorg, Runstats, Copy, Load, Unload, Modify, Check, Recover, Rebuild).
• Execute DB2 commands (Stop, Start, Display, Cancel).
• Document solutions and implement changes.
• DB2 security administration (RACF, Grants, Roles, Privileges).
• Collaborate with teams to ensure capacity and performance goals.
