Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a z/OS DB2 DBA to manage and administer the backbone of our mainframe infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain DB2 on z/OS, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across production systems.

Responsibilities include implementing DB2 utilities, capacity planning, on-call support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-availability services for our clients. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience with DB2 V12 and DB2 V13
• 3+ years with z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and DB2 Utilities
• 3+ years executing DDL
• 3+ years in Capacity / Performance management
• 3+ years in DB2 Backup / Recovery
• 3+ years Apply Problem Solving Techniques
• 3+ years in database monitoring
• 3+ years in database maintenance and administration
• English: Fluent

Responsibilities

• Incident and Problem resolution based on customer Service Level requirements.
• Execute DB Utilities (Reorg, Runstats, Copy, Load, Unload, Modify, Check, Recover, Rebuild)
• Execute DB2 Commands (Stop, Start, Display, Cancel, etc)
• Resolve problems, document solutions, and implement changes
• DB2 Security (RACF, Grants, Revokes, Roles, Privileges)
