Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Developer III for an onsite, contract-to-hire role. The position focuses on mainframe COBOL, CICS, and related tools within the EDIG host team handling healthcare claims processing.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in development, a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, and the ability to obtain a C-2 clearance. Responsibilities include analysis, coding, testing, and collaboration across multiple teams to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related work experience.
• At least 4 years in applications development or testing.
• Ability to pass C-2 security clearance and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of analysis, design, and coding for complex systems.
• Develop detailed specifications and technical documentation.
• Code, test, debug, and maintain programs within project timelines.
• Coordinate with teams and provide knowledge on business requirements.
• Analyze and implement system enhancements to support healthcare claims.
