Job summary
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an IT Applications Developer/Senior – MMIS to maintain and enhance the Medicaid claims processing system. Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or related field and two years of coding experience; education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- 5+ years full lifecycle development with COBOL in IBM zOS mainframe (DB2).
- 5+ years developing relational databases with complex SQL in large-scale systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide production support of COBOL and IBM DB2 batch applications.
- Provide support for production and test issues in constrained timeframes.
- Provide on-call support for overnight and weekend batch processing cycles.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
