Job summary

Timken is seeking a highly skilled Machinist in Santa Fe Springs, CA to manufacture gear and power transmission components. You will read blueprints, set up CNC machines, and optimize feeds and speeds to maximize production while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience in a shop environment turning/milling carbon steels and aluminum.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, inspection, and fixturing of low quantity precision parts.
• Ability to set feeds/speeds/depth of cut for production efficiency.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints, GD&T; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities in programming, manufacturing methods, tooling, and fixturing.
• Assist and support operators with machine set-up/operation.
• Collaborate with other teams on manufacturing capabilities and schedules.
• Assist with inspection and validation using basic inspection equipment.
• Ensure documentation complies with QMS procedures.
