Job summary

Timken is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator in the United States to support production of anti-friction bearings. The role emphasizes precise setup, measurement, and equipment upkeep in a climate-controlled facility.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and drive continuous improvement while contributing to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. Comprehensive training is provided; prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate production equipment (ring rolling, turning, heat treating, grinding, and assembly).
• Measure bearing geometry with digital calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and metallurgical instruments.
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance; troubleshoot minor to moderate issues.
• Use plant information systems to interpret work queues, track material needs, and log production events.
• Apply X-bar and R charts, histograms, and Pareto analysis to monitor and improve quality.
• Understand internal and external customer requirements and ensure conformity.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams and help develop training materials.
