Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. is seeking a skilled machinist to join our team in Winston-Salem, NC. You will plan, set up, and operate manual, CNC, and specialized machine shop equipment to produce precision metal components for automotive connectivity solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of machining experience or an associate degree in Machining Technology, plus familiarity with milling, turning, tool steels heat treatment, and EDM processes. Strong GD&T reading and CAD/CAM proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma with 3+ years of relevant machining experience, or an Associate's degree in Machining Technology.
Completion of a 4-year toolmaking apprenticeship preferred.
Proficiency in milling, turning, heat treatment of tool steels, and surface grinding.
Experience with setup and programming of Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and profile grinding equipment.
Ability to read GD&T blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

Plan, layout, set up, and operate a variety of manual, CNC, and computerized machine shop equipment.
Perform tool adjustments and ensure precision in all machining operations.
Interpret blueprints, process sheets, and technical sketches to execute production tasks.
Cut and shape metal components to exact specifications and tolerances.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand part functionality and assembly requirements.
