Zero-Max in Plymouth, MN, is seeking a Machinist 3 to set up and operate complex machines with minimal supervision. You will guide less skilled machinists and contribute to producing high-precision parts in a clean, climate-controlled shop.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Machining with 5–7 years of experience (or 8–10 years) with complex equipment, plus strong setup, tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and inspection skills. Programming is optional.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Machining and 5–7 years’ experience with equipment of a complex nature; or 8–10 years’ experience without a degree.
• Proficient at set-up, operation, tooling determination, speeds/feeds, shop math, and part inspection.
• Ability to guide and instruct less skilled machinists.

Responsabilités

• Set up complex machines including multi-axis milling and mill/turn operations.
• Operate machines and monitor quality and performance.
• Maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes.
• Select proper tooling and determine process sequences.
• Instruct less skilled operators and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
