Job summary

HiFyve is seeking a Machinist 3 in Plymouth, MN to set up and operate advanced CNC equipment with multi‑axis capabilities. You will edit programs, select tooling, determine feeds and speeds, and maintain inspection records, while mentoring less experienced machinists.

The ideal candidate has a machining degree or equivalent experience, with strong shop math and parts inspection skills. This on‑site role emphasizes safety, precision, and a commitment to HiFyve core values.

Qualifications

Associate or technical degree in Machining with 5–7 years of experience on complex equipment.
8–10 years of experience with complex machining equipment.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including horizontal/vertical milling and mill/turn machines with multi-axis, twin spindles, and twin turrets.
Operate machines with little to no supervision.
Edit machine programs as needed.
Select proper tooling for machining sequences.
Determine machining processes, feeds, and speeds.
Maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes.
Instruct and mentor less skilled machinists and operators.
Perform finishing work such as deburring and sanding.
Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Demonstrate company core values.
