Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on machining for our Portland region client. The role requires a degreed engineer with demonstrated experience in machining environments and processes, hands-on shop floor support, and driving improvements.

Ideal candidates will have CNC/ GD&T experience, CAPA leadership, NPI readiness, and proficiency with CAD/CAM tools. This is an onsite role based in Sherwood, OR, offering a comprehensive benefits package and career

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field.
10-15+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
Lean manufacturing tools like VSM, kaizen, waste reduction used.
Six sigma methods for process optimization.
CAD/CAM tools for tool and fixture design and documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide on-floor support to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze production data and maintain ERP routing information for parts and assemblies.
Support ERP/PLM systems and chase engineering changes across processes.
Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and documentation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate project status and risks.
