Actalent seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop custom manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automated systems for complex production environments. You’ll be involved from concept through installation, testing, and production support, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and hands-on manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical design, machine design, tooling, automation, or related.
• Proficient in 3D CAD: CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks.
• Familiar with GD&T, detailed drawings, manufacturability.
• Able to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic docs.
• Experience supporting manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, tooling, fixtures, and industrial equipment for manufacturing.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Support projects from concept to production implementation.
• Perform engineering calculations and basic structural analyses.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, software and project teams.
