Job summary
Latitude Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Machining to join our 100% employee-owned team.
You will develop and optimize machining production processes, define PFMEA's, and ensure manufacturability of new products entering production. The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with CNC turning and milling, and the ability to mentor operators while applying lean concepts to improve throughput and yield.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field; 3+ years in metal machining environment, or 20 years in machining process improvement.
- Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and train machining operators and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, define, review, and analyze machining production processes.
- Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
- Create and maintain machining control plans and PFMEAs.
- Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturability.
- Mentor operators and collaborate with quality and sales engineering.
