Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Pontiac, IL is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Machining & Process Development to join our ME team.

You will drive process improvements for high-tolerance manufacturing, partner with quality, operations and design teams, and support CNC machining initiatives on the shop floor and in the office. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years of experience, strong communication and drawing skills, and hands-on CNC programming and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills.
• Ability to create sketches and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical reports.
• Experience in a manufacturing and machining environment.
• CNC programming and process development experience.
• Experience with hone, OD/ID grinding, and centerless grinding (desired).
• Experience developing and maintaining automated cells (desired).

Responsibilities

• Split between office and shop floor, roughly 30% office and 70% shop floor.
• Supports PCN activity, testing and validating process improvements.
• Works with operators to maintain processes, and prepares reports and process review documents.
• Supports daily operations within the manufacturing process.
• Partners with quality, operations, and design teams to validate new processes and process improvements.
• Serves as a key member of the team supporting production processes, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
