Job summary

Connect-Force in Michigan seeks a seasoned Machine Tool Pipefitter to build and assemble advanced industrial machinery. This role focuses on precision piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, and custom machine components.

You’ll interpret mechanical blueprints, install fluid power systems, and collaborate with engineers and machine builders. Travel to client sites may be required; safety and quality are priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in machine tool building or related trades.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic piping, tubing, and fluid power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Proficiency with pipefitting tools, tubing tools, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and prepare advanced industrial machinery for operation.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and coolant piping systems.
• Perform precision tubing and pipe bending, cutting, threading, flaring, fitting, and routing.
• Install hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, manifolds, valves, regulators, hoses, and other components.
• Interpret blueprints and diagrams to ensure precise installations.
• Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, and routing conflicts; ensure equipment operates properly.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, flushing, and functional checks.
• Collaborate with engineers and machine builders on new equipment builds and upgrades.
