Job summary

Connect-Force in Michigan is seeking a skilled Machine Tool Pipefitter to join our industrial machinery and automation team. You will build, assemble, and install hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems for custom equipment.

You will read mechanical blueprints and schematics, perform precision tubing work, and troubleshoot leaks and pressure issues. This is a full‑time, on‑site role working with engineers and machine builders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in machine tool building, industrial machinery assembly, or a closely related skilled trade.
• Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic piping, tubing, and fluid power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Proficiency with pipefitting equipment, tubing tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical hand tools.
• Commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and install hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and coolant piping systems for custom industrial machinery.
• Perform precision tubing and pipe bending, cutting, threading, flaring, fitting, and routing.
• Install hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, manifolds, valves, regulators, hoses, and other fluid power components.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and pneumatic diagrams to ensure precise installations.
• Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, routing conflicts, and mechanical problems to keep equipment operating properly.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, flushing, and functional checks to verify system performance.
• Collaborate with machine builders, engineers, and other skilled trades professionals on new machinery, equipment upgrades, retrofits, and rebuilds.
• Help deliver high-quality machinery built to perform in demanding industrial environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be directly involved in building, assembling, and preparing advanced industrial machinery for operation.
