Basaran Grinder Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Level 5 Principal or Lead Machine Tool Engineer to serve as the company’s top mechanical tool engineering authority. The role guides platform architecture, advanced development, and cross-functional problem resolution across multiple machine systems and product families.

Responsibilities include setting long-term technical direction, leading analyses in dynamics and thermal behavior, and mentoring senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Exceptional command of mechanical fundamentals and hands-on machine-building judgment.
• History of solving difficult multi-physics or system-level problems and converting lessons into better designs.
• Ability to evaluate competing technical approaches using analysis, testing, risk, cost, and schedule.
• Ability to influence teams through technical credibility, clear standards, and disciplined review.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term technical direction for machine structures, axes, spindles, dressing, workholding, thermal control, fluid systems, and modular platforms.
• Lead advanced analysis and validation involving structural dynamics, vibration, stiffness, thermal behavior, bearing systems, sealing, and precision motion.
• Make final technical recommendations on high-risk designs and major deviations from proven architecture.
• Develop reusable engineering standards, design rules, calculation tools, review gates, and verification methods.
• Lead cross-functional technical recovery efforts for the most difficult machine-performance and customer issues.
• Mentor senior engineers, advise engineering management, and represent Basaran in high-level technical discussions with customers and partners.
